Afternoon Meeting at LOKAL Restaurant

--This post has been saved in my draft for ELEVEN months!! Sorry for such an unforgivable latepost... --

Beberapa bulan terakhir di media sosial "terdengar" sebuah tempat makan (plus nongkrong) baru di Jogja. Lokal Restaurant.

So, aku dan mas Bayu pesen makan dulu and took some pictures.

The interior (and overall building) is just well designed. Industrial style withe concrete-finished wall and ceiling with wide frameless window, it looks clean and neat. The natural colors come from wood dining set and potted plants as The accents and divider. Most of it, the twisty interesting part is the full color Kawung pattern in the wall and the floor as its identity.

Why i said "identity"?

Because many people take photos of Lokal Resto (then, posted it to their IG) and most of them bring Kawung as the main focus. Lokal is recognized by its Kawung.

Now let's talk bout food. ;9

The menu book is covered by rustic linen with Lokal symbol in it, which is printed on the tissue as well. I ordered Caesar Salad, a snack (that i forgot its name, it"s just like Vietnamese Wrap) and a glass of Iced Tea. They came with amount of snack-time dishes and taste good.

For me Lokal is recommended to be a meeting point, the foods are quite tasty, but i enjoy the ambience and the building design more... :) FYI, mbak Shinta and mbak Nuri arrived a couple minutes later, and mas Bayu as my waiting partner went to Gramedia, since this was a closed meeting (cieeeeh...!). The meeting had done after two hours and he picked me up.

Well, i guess i have a kind-hearted husband. :*
